Troy Taylor (Conference Host)
Troy Taylor is an occultist, supernatural historian and the author of more than 70 books on ghosts, hauntings, history, crime and the unexplained in America. He is also the founder of the American Ghost Society and the owner of the Illinois and American Hauntings Tour companies. Along with writing about the unusual and running tour companies, Troy is also a public speaker on ghosts and crime and has appeared in scores of books, newspaper and magazine articles about the occult and in many paranormal-related television series, documentaries and in one feature horror film. He and his wife, Haven, currently reside in Chicago. At the 2010 conference, Troy will be speaking with Rene' Kruse, his co-author on the book And Hell Followed With it.. The History & Hauntings of American Disasters.

Rene' Kruse
Rene' Kruse has lived in small towns in the Mid-West and Texas but has lived in southwestern Pennsylvania for the past 20 years. She holds a PhD from Texas A&M and teaches Applied Engineering and Technology at California University of Pennsylvania. Rene' has been fascinated in ghosts and all things haunted for as long as she can remember and has been actively investigating haunted sites for over 30 years. Since her first investigation in 1976, she has been involved in nearly 250 investigations in 23 states. She has had the opportunity to meet and work with some of the most respected paranormal investigators from around the country. At the 2010 conference, Rene' will be speaking with Troy Taylor, her co-author on the book And Hell Followed With it.. The History & Hauntings of American Disasters.

 
Katherine Ramsland
Dr. Katherine Ramsland counts a master’s in forensic psychology from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice among her graduate degrees and currently chairs the Social Sciences Department at
DeSales University, where she teaches forensic psychology and criminal justice. She has been writing about forensics for over a decade, including books with former FBI profilers. Among her 37 books are Ghost, The Forensic Science of CSI, The Forensic Psychology of Criminal Minds, A Voice for the Dead (about exhumations), and The Devil’s Dozen: How Cutting Edge Forensics Took Down 12 Notorious Serial Killers. With a local coroner, she has documented cold cases where she lives that also have paranormal components, and also wrote a book on local ghost tales, Bethlehem Ghosts. At the 2010 event, Katherine will be speaking on Paranormal Forensics.
Rosemary Ellen Guiley 
Rosemary Ellen Guiley is a leading expert on the paranormal and the author of more than 40 books on a wide variety of subjects, including nine encyclopedias.  She maintains an active schedule of paranormal investigations, lectures, media and research.  Her newest book is The Encyclopedia of Demons & Demonology.  She is at work on several co-author projects, including a book on high-tech spirit communications with George Noory, the host of Coast to Coast AM; a book on the djinn with ufologist Philip J. Imbrogno; and a book on the Ouija with paranormal investigator and author Rick Fisher.  Rosemary lives in Connecticut.  At the 2010 event, Rosemary will be speaking on What You Need to Know About Demons.
 
Dale Kaczmarek
Dale Kaczmarek is the President of the Ghost Research Society and the author of five books about ghosts and the paranormal. He is also the founder and owner of the Excursions into the Unknown tours of Chicagoland and has been actively investigating ghosts, hauntings and poltergeists since 1975. He has appeared in numerous books, newspaper and magazine articles about the paranormal and has been in dozens of television shows and documentaries. He is a leading expert on spirit photography and ghost research and is one of the most active investigators in the country today. At the 2010 conference, Dale will be speaking about Ghosts on Video and will be hosting a workshop on Advanced Ghost Hunting Techniques.  

Alan Brown
Dr. Alan Brown is a professor of English at the University of West Alabama.  He received his B.A. in English from Millikin University, his M.A. in American Literature from Southern Illinois University, his M.A. in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois, and his D.A. in Rhetoric from Illinois State University. For the past few years, Dr. Brown’s interest in Southern folklore has manifested itself in several collections of Southern ghost stories, including Stories from the Haunted South, Ghost Hunters of the South, Haunted Georgia, Haunted Texas, Haunted Tennessee (2008), Haunted Kentucky and others. At the 2010 event, Alan will be speaking on the Hauntings of Gettysburg.

 

Lee Ehrlich
Lee Ehrlich is a Paranormal Investigator with over 30 years experience and a veteran of hundreds of Investigations. As CEO of both Ghostpros Paranormal Incorporated and The Paranormal Divers Franchise,  he oversees a National organization that is recognized as he World-leader in Undersea Paranormal Exploration and Mobile Field technology. In the early 1980's  Lee founded “ Paranormal Safaris ' where he and his counterparts scoured the the American West from Catalina Island's Haunted Avalon Ballroom, to the forgotten Salt Mines of Nevada's Comstock Lode in search of any and all unexplained phenomena. Lee speaks regularly at national Conferences and Seminars on a wide array of topics from Voice Phenomena to Undersea paranormal research and lives in tropical south Florida with his wife and daughter. At the 2010 conference, Lee will be presenting on Undersea Paranormal Exploration.

Michael Esposito
Michael Esposito is an experimental artist and researcher in Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). He is a descendant of Alfred Vail, who invented the Morse Code with his partner Samuel Morse, and Jonathan Vail,  office manager and assistant to Thomas Edison,  Michael studied communication theory at Purdue University, University of Notre Dame, American University in Cairo, Egypt and Governor's State University. Michael has participated in hundreds of paranormal investigations all over the world and has developed unique theories and experiments within the field of EVP. He has collected tens of thousands EVPs and video. He has appeared in a number of films, televsion shows and documentaries. He will be presenting on EVP Theories and Trials at the 2010 Conference.
 
Len Adams & Luke Naliborski -- "Sons of Strange Stuff"
About Len, Luke & "Strange Stuff": "Strange Stuff" was created by the late John Brill in 2000, as an introduction to the Haunted America Conference that would allow people to participate with their own weird encounters. Before his death, John passed the mantle to Len Adams, the vice-president of the American Ghost Society, and asked him to continue the event every year. Len was joined by Luke Naliborski a few years ago. Both are active AGS members and reps and authors of books about hauntings in southwestern Illinois. Len is the co-author of the book So, There I Was with Troy Taylor and in 2008, released his second book, Phantoms in the Looking Glass. Luke is the author of A Lighter Side of Darkness. Both are also guides for the Alton Hauntings Tours in Alton, Illinois. Don't miss out on what's always a spook, and often hilarious, opening event for the 2010 Conference!
